Instructions for use QR IDENTIFICATION TAG

What information can you include on the tag?

- Name of the dog
- Photograph of the dog
- Weight
- Birthdate
- Owner's phone number
- Owner email
- Any additional information that you consider relevant: allergies, medications, address, other contact telephone numbers, behavioral problems, food needs, etc.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It's super easy!
Normally you will not need to install any application, since the code is read directly from your mobile camera. It works with common Apple-iPhone and Android phones and all tags are sent with the QR checked in our office. You can easily enter all your dog's information when you have the tag in your hand.

1) Using your mobile phone's camera directly (on some older phones it may be necessary to use an accessory reading app), you scan the QR code on the tag and you will access a screen to edit your dog's data.
2) You will also have to choose a personal password in case you want to modify the information in the future ( NOTE - Very important! You must write down the password and remember it if you want to edit the data again. If you forget it or enter it incorrectly, do not you will be able to access the data editing screen).
3) Ready! Your pet's profile is complete
4) Hang the tag on your dog's harness
5) If your dog gets lost, anyone who finds it can quickly access the contact information just by reading the QR

Usage Considerations

- As this is a product that requires personalization by the customer and the use of a personal password, we do not accept returns of identification badges.
- It is very important that you remember and save the personal password you have chosen, since it is essential if you want to edit the data again. The password is personal and non-transferable. There is no recovery system for forgotten passwords, so we recommend that you choose a password that you can easily remember, enter it correctly, and write it down in a safe place.
- No claims or replacements will be accepted in case of forgetting the personal password.
- We check the correct functioning of the QR code of all the tags that leave the office with an iPhone and an Android mobile, so claims will not be accepted due to difficulty or lack of reading the code derived from intrinsic problems with the user's phone. If the user's phone does not detect the QR despite following the steps described below, in this case they can request the return of the tag at their expense.
- Language available on the data editing platform: Spanish/Spanish
- Remember that no accessory is indestructible and it is the owner's duty to properly handle the plate and supervise its use by the dog.

My phone can't read the QR code, what could happen? Read below :

>Download a QR reading App

Especially in the case of older phones or cameras with lower definition, it may be necessary to use an accessory QR reading App (we have tested all our badges with different phones and cameras, and usually you do not need any type of App )

>Improves lighting conditions

When you scan the QR code on the badge using a mobile phone or tablet, the flash will not go off, so it is important that you do it in a place with good lighting. Turn on more lights or raise the blinds to let in natural light and try scanning the code again with good lighting conditions.

>Place it on a plain background

Sometimes the autofocus function may lose accuracy with a pattern on a tablecloth, rug, or wall, preventing the code from being scanned. If the badge is resting on a printed background, try placing it on a smooth surface and scan the code again.

>Do not hold it with your hand

Place the sheet on a countertop, table, or other firm surface. If you move too much, the mobile camera may not focus on the code correctly. Try resting your elbows on the table so that the phone does not move.

>Do not tilt the mobile

If you tilt your phone, the code may not be scanned correctly. Check that the phone is aligned with the surface on which the code is printed.

>Maintain the appropriate distance

If you place your phone too close or too far from the code, it will not be able to scan it. Place it about 10-15 cm away from the QR code and bring it closer little by little and gently so that the camera focuses.

Some phone cameras focus worse than others at short distances; Therefore, you may have to move your phone a little further away. Try positioning the phone so that the QR code is within the focus of the phone and slowly and gently move it away.

>Be careful with the shadows

If you still can't scan the code after improving lighting conditions, check to make sure you aren't casting a shadow on it. This can happen if the phone is too close to the code when scanning it.

>Clean the lens

To clean the dirt that usually accumulates on the mobile lens, such as fingerprints or dust, and that can affect the sharpness of the image, clean the lens with a soft cloth.

ATTENTION:

  • All the QR tag included in the orders are checked one by one before being packaged, being scanned with an iPhone phone and an Android phone to ensure their correct reading , so we can affirm that the QRs are valid and readable by the vast majority of telephones. In the rare case that your phone is not able to read the QR code despite following the instructions we indicate, in this case you can request the return of the tag, assuming the return costs.
